Married in October of 2007 Stacie was the quintessential Flirty Bride and used her own wedding as an opportunity to bring to life her vision of what a flirty bride is, and how much fun she should have, both planning her own wedding and at the wedding itself.

Miniature Swarovski Crystal Pineapples

Share |

I designed and created about 70 of these miniature Swarovski Austrian crystal beaded pineapples for a client's wedding reception name cards. They are fairly easy to make.

CLICK HERE to view the first half of this tutorial: How to make the crystal pineapple

Step11: These are the size 15º delica beads. They are teeny tiny and not usually available at hobby shops. You can find this size online and in some specialty bead shops.

Step 12: I dropped 32 beads onto on of the two strands of wire.

Step 13: Take the wire and bring the two ends of where the beads begin and end as close to the base of the wire as possible and twist the wire twice locking the beads into place and forming a single loop.

You can stop here and have small open formed leaves or use the following steps to make more solid leaves.

Step 13-A: Now on the same strand of wire drop 13 more beads onto the wire and allow them to fall to the base of the wire.

Step 13-B: Take the end of the same strand of wire and pull it over and through the loop at the midsection which would be with 16 beads on each side of it. Gently pull the wire tight to lock the beads in place.

Step 13-C: Now drop 13 more beads on the same wire.

Step 13-D: Bend the wire downwards and twist at the base of the leaf to lock the beads in place.

Step 14: Repeat these steps with the other wire to form the second leaf.

Step 15: After forming the second leaf use either wire to make the third and final leaf using the same method.

Step 16: When all three leaves are made neatly wrap some of the extra wire around the base to give it a clean finish. End with both wires on the same side of the pineapple.

Step 17: I use nail clippers to clip off the excess wire.

All done.
